Human rights standards for karim's group facilities & suppliers

Karim's group has a long tradition of working in an environment where we share our commitment to human rights and ethical standards of conduct. Our customers depend on the quality and value of our products as well as the underlying integrity of the workplaces where we produce them.

Our adherence to this workplace code of conduct is a pre-requisite for all our facilities & suppliers to continue or establish a relationship with us. We will not hesitate to suspend relationships with those suppliers who violate our values and standards.

We are proud of our leadership in ensuring that our facilities & suppliers worldwide follow progressive policies. Karim's group will not permit the goods we produce to be the product of unacceptable working conditions.

To maintain our commitment to these principles, we have established a workplace code of conduct. We require all our facilities & suppliers to comply with this workplace code of conduct as part of our internal company policy. We reserve the right to cancel all orders with any supplier that does not fully comply with our group's policies and code of conduct.

This workplace code of conduct defines our commitment to assure appropriate working conditions worldwide. We encourage the creation of workplaces where our goals are to provide fair wages and better opportunities for the working class, contributing to the enrichment of our community and creating a more productive workforce, one capable of meeting our customer's demand for high quality at a fair price.

This workplace code of conduct requires our facilities & suppliers to:

Provide a clean, safe and healthy workplace environment

Karim's group promotes the welfare of our employees who contribute to the development of our products; therefore, it is our internal policy to provide all our employees with a safe, clean, and healthy workplace, well lit, and in compliance with local health and safety laws and regulations. In addition, we also support local community authorities to prevent environmental emergencies. Karim's group will not associate with suppliers who refuse to provide these same working conditions to their employees.

Engage in fair and ethical employment practices

Child labor: all our facilities comply with local child labor laws and regulations, observing all laws relating to child labor, especially those related to minimum age where applicable, work hours, minimum wages, education and working conditions. We will not associate with suppliers who refuse to comply with these regulations.

Wages and work hours: karim's group ensures that all our facilities maintain reasonable work hours and compensate all of our employees fairly in compliance with local standards and/or applicable national laws, whichever is greater. All employees must work within the legal work hour requirements and shall never exceed these limits. We will not associate with suppliers that fail to comply with these requirements.

Ethical standards: we value the legal and moral rights of all our employees and also comply with local anti-discrimination laws and regulations based on race, gender or religion. We will not associate with suppliers who violate the rights of their employees.

Forced labor: all our employees are hired on a "free-will" basis and are treated with dignity and respect. Our employees are never exposed to corporal punishment or coercion of any type. All of our facilities comply with local and international laws regulating forced labor practices. We will not associate with suppliers who promote forced labor environments.

Comply with local and foreign shipping regulations

Karim's group facilities worldwide must comply with all applicable customs laws. Therefore, we establish and maintain programs that fulfill customs laws regarding illegal transshipment of apparel goods, as well as assuring the enforcement of local, national, and foreign regulations to prevent the shipment of illegal substances. Karim's group enforces the most recent regulations to guarantee a high level of product shipment security, which includes verifying the reliability of the business practices of its suppliers within the supply chain.

Allow full access to facilities and records for compliance inspections

All karim's group facilities are available at all times for inspections by our customer's representatives or independent inspection firms to verify our adherence to this code of conduct. We reserve the right to cancel all orders with any supplier that fails to permit access to their records or facilities for monitoring purpose.
